what it does
Safe Stop™ Barrier Movers are designed to transport portable barriers of all types and sizes.
The Safe Stop™ Barrier Mover is specifically designed to lift and transport our Movable Barriers. However, it can be modified to move most pre-existing types of portable barriers including plastic, steel and concrete barriers.
When the Safe Stop™ Barrier Mover is unable to lift and transport heavier portable barriers, our Heavy-Duty Barrier Mover would be the ideal option for moving these larger barrier segments.
Barrier Mover
How it works:
The Barrier Mover connects to the Safe Stop™ Movable Barrier with our unique cable connection. The cable connection is flexible enough to allow effective transport and placement around curves and slopes yet stiff enough to prevent the barrier segments from swaying uncontrollably when terrain conditions induce a large amount of vibrations to the barrier segments. The connection can also be modified to accommodate other types of portable barriers.
The Barrier Movers utilize our innovative lifting device to efficiently transport portable barrier segments. Many components of the lifting device are placed through the barrier segments to allow the portable barriers to be lifted and transported simultaneously by the Barrier Movers.
A protective outer cap is placed on top of the barrier movers when connected to the portable barrier segments so that all exposed openings and all components of the movers are shielded. The cap will also protect vehicles from coming in contact with any potentially hazardous joints between barrier segments and Barrier Movers. The outer cap conforms to the shape of the barrier segments so that the assembly of movers and portable barriers will resemble a continuous barrier system.
The Safe Stop™ Heavy-Duty Barrier Mover is an alternative version of our standard Barrier Mover that is specifically designed for lifting and transporting much larger portable barrier segments. For instance, the Heavy-Duty Barrier Mover has been proven to lift and transport portable barriers up to 30 ft long and 20,000 lbs. This barrier mover can transport concrete, steel and other types of heavy portable barriers that are commonly used in construction projects.
